Adfam is a national charity dedicated to helping families that suffer from drug and alcohol abuse issues. We have a desire to provide an opportunity to be a part of an encouraging and loving family, to take advantage of stable relationships and have good physical and mental health to anybody that has been struck by another person's alcohol and drug abuse.
Drug and alcohol usage encourages physical, emotional and financial imbalances which can destroy family relationships.
To prevent this from happening, we encourage family members and caretakers, reassure frontline workers and impact those that make decisions.
What We Care About
We listen to frontline workers and families As we know that individuals have answers if they have face or confront challenges. So, thanks to our supporters we plan a course of action: using empathy and proofs we notify, encourage and empower both workers that cooperate with those that suffer from a substance abuse of family members, as well as those family members. We aim to provide both groups with resources, knowledge, belief and ways to help themselves, their communities, customers and peers.
We Are Inspired By What Works
The influence of both drug and alcohol abuse on family harmony is intense and diverse. We put lots of care and focus on our work as we tend to use most effective methods for the real world. We accept evidence regardless of how different it might be, paying equal attention to both practical evidence and official research data in order to do this. We listen to our peers, supporters and friends and we base our work on their advice.
We Take Our Goal Seriously
We are committed to deliver high quality work because we are serious about our work and our partnerships. We recognise that injustice and discrimination are the biggest threats towards individual and family recovery from drug and alcohol abuse. We advocate for just society of individuals with equal rights and opportunities regardless of their drug or alcohol orientation to make a contribution using individual potential towards nation building activities through collective participation.
Who We Work With
Families, companions and carers - We actually notify and engage those individuals who are influenced by other's substance utilise, and we also wanted to raise their voices and realize them to know that they are in the issue that badly affect them.
Frontline workers - To make sure the support we deliver is effective and appropriate, we build confidence, capacity and capability of practitioners.
Leaders- We interact with and influence relevant local and national officials to improve regulations and make sure they get to know about the problems families we work with encounter every day.
