You will instantly experience a feeling of optimism, friendliness and a kind family environment when you enter one of our treatment facilities.
Unluckily most of the people we see have a tendency to only respond in a manner that caters to their main focus which is to run away from reality and evade the experiences of thinking and feeling negatively.
Countless people who are battling a drug or alcohol addiction find themselves in a world where standard regulations and societal conventions are not adhered to. Often they have ineffective limits and their behaviours can sometimes be immoral and go against what they recognize is the right thing to do.
Regrettably, these actions become "adopted" as they deal with life problems; for instance, you might know someone that is sure that he or she is telling the truth even though they are in fact lying on a regular basis. Broken relationships are often the only surrounding in which some of our patients know how to act; the embarrassment and guilt they feel don't allow them to seek help or to apologize and they are not able to experience real love. Selfish pursuit of substance does not give them the time nor purpose to care for others because they have lost the ability to care for themselves and their compulsive.
What we primarily attempt to achieve at Drug Rehab Derby is to change all of this. We take you away from the substance with the help of our detox program because it is our priority.
Drug Rehab Derby offers withdrawal that is medically supervised by a doctor and followed through by one of our certified nurses.
As soon as the individual's body is free from the drug we can begin to focus on the spirit and mind by employing our day-care, primary and secondary rehabilitation programmes.
We offer a secure and protected atmosphere for individuals to rediscover themselves by assessing their views, feelings, their past and their future plans. The rules and guidelines at our facilities offer a structured and ordered environment. Basic rules like not showing up at group late, demonstrate to our clients that the outside world has conventions that exist to keep people secure and ensure just treatment. We give our clients optimism - we show them that they too can get better when they see that our Counsellor used to be addicted, but is now 13 years sober and free.
At every step of the process of treatment, individuals are empowered to develop positive relations. First we achieve this by reproducing a setting that is similar to a family which allows clients to develop connections with others in treatment, they begin to experience a shared sense of belonging and start to repair trust in their own families by frequent contact with their loved ones. We also carry out encouraging individuals to alter their views, acknowledge their emotions and consequently modify how they conduct themselves. We teach the 12 step program to our clients - a very simple and practical set of tools which is effective in helping the people get sober and clean for nearly 100 years.
We challenge individuals when they are unable to acknowledge what they need to although we also let them commit blunders and gain some insights from these. Our patients are getting a grasp of living in the real world without requiring any substance to help them do it by using a fierce structure of our rehab and the atmosphere of a real residential situation; that way, we encourage them to equip themselves with fresh, positive behaviours and to achieve this by becoming a part of the society and living together with others, by cooking for themselves, by learning how to manage their cash and to be responsible, do shopping for a week and live in a community.
Each day spent in treatment is another step towards succeeding in the long run.
We as well endeavour to assist the client's immediate family and intimate colleagues.
This is really key as after the treatment has been completed these people will have to stay with our clients, therefore at Drug Rehab Derby, members of the family get a chance to interact with other people who've faced identical experiences and familiarise themselves with how to provide support to the client after the treatment has ended.
We accomplish these throughout the next 2 to 24 weeks. Many of our clients come to Drug Rehab Derby with a number of years of active addiction and often many years of distress before that. It actually takes a long time to undo all the issues that come to a person's life while in addiction which means that having more time to adopt to the new lifestyle, the better the results in the long term. Re-housing and relocation via Drug Rehab Derby housing are also offered, if someone needed a truly fresh start to life in a new town, with new people and real opportunity.
Regardless of the time you will be with us, our objective is to empower you so that you have a strong foundation for a fresh start and life in recovery.
